Geringverdiener eingeführt. Der Staat übernimmt seitdem einen Teil der Kosten, die Arbeitgeber
in die betriebliche Altersversorgung ihrer wenig verdienenden Arbeitnehmer (bis 2.575 Euro
Bruttomonatseinkommen) investieren. 288 Euro pro Jahr beträgt der Förderhöchstbetrag derzeit.

Wie neue Zahlen des Statistischen Bundesamtes zeigen, bleibt das Interesse insbesondere bei
kleinen und Kleinstbetrieben bislang verhalten. Nur 6,0 bzw. 3,1 Prozent der Firmen dieser
Größenordnung nehmen die Förderung in Anspruch. Bei den Großbetrieben mit mehr als 250
Mitarbeitern sind es 14,5 Prozent. In diesen sind denn auch mehr als 60 Prozent der Geförderten
angestellt, in Kleinstbetrieben mit bis zu 10 Mitarbeitern dagegen nur 7 Prozent.
Immerhin stimmt die Gesamttendenz: 2018 nutzten lediglich 2,5 Prozent der Arbeitgeber die
Förderoption, über 3,4 Prozent (2019) stieg dieser Anteil im letzten Jahr auf 4,2 Prozent. In der
Bundespolitik wird dennoch diskutiert, ob die Betriebsrentenförderung für Geringverdiener zur
gesetzlichen Pflicht erhoben werden sollte.

Auffällig finde ich aber den großen Unterschied zwischen kleinen Betrieben und Unternehmen mit mehr als 250 Mitarbeitern. Gerade für einen kleinen Betrieb können zusätzliche Kosten und der organisatorische Aufwand wahrscheinlich eher abschreckend wirken, selbst wenn ein Teil davon gefördert wird. Bevor daraus eine Pflicht wird, wäre für mich deshalb interessant, warum so viele kleinere Arbeitgeber die Förderung bisher nicht nutzen. amonbet
